Specialist Hoops is an organisation started to give kids and adults with disability a chance to enjoy the sport in a safe and fun learning environment where they can be themselves without fear of being judged.

Specialist hoops began in September 2017 when Executive director, Emily Attard, decided to set up a one-day "all abilities" basketball camp to promote the values listed above. After a successful program in 2017, and people asking when the next program was going to run, Emily decided that it needed to become a regular program.

2018 seen a weekly program start up at the Melton Indoor Recreation Centre on Fridays from

 4:15pm and ending at 5:30pm

2021 seen the expansion to Bacchus Marsh for Basketball on Tuesdays from 4:15pm-5:30pm at the Bacchus Marsh Leisure Centre.  Alongside Ten Pin Bowling at Xplosion Bar and Bowl in Melton during the day for those not attending formal education.
